이사야 57장 1절:
의인이 죽을지라도 마음에 두는 자가 없고 진실한 이들이 거두어 감을 당할지라도 깨닫는 자가 없도다 의인들은 악한 자들 앞에서 불리어가도다
의인이 죽을찌라도 마음에 두는 자가 없고 자비한 자들이 취하여 감을 입을찌라도 그 의인은 화액 전에 취하여 감을 입은 것인줄로 깨닫는 자가 없도다
올바른 사람이 망해도 아랑곳하지 않고, 경건한 사람이 사라져도 눈 하나 깜박이지 않는다마는, 올바른 사람이 사라지는 것은 실상은 재앙을 벗어나
여호와께서 말씀하신다. '의롭고 경건한 사람이 죽어도 그 일에 관심을 가지고 깊이 생각하는 자가 없으며 재앙이 닥치기 전에 내가 그들을 데려가도 그 사실을 깨닫는 자가 아무도 없구나.
The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
